Oh, those good ol’ affirmations. It took me a little while to understand the power of affirmations, especially after so many years of setbacks and disappointments.
It started with putting one Post-it note on my bathroom mirror, and then I graduated to placing another on my refrigerator door.
And as I woke up every morning reciting both notes, I became more motivated to BE those exact things that I wrote down. Strange, right?
I’ve come to understand that the key to making affirmations effective is actually to BELIEVE in the words you are writing and reciting. It must be completely authentic to YOU.
Otherwise, you’re just writing words on a piece of paper. And who has that kind of time to waste?!

“I am rewriting my life story, and it is a best-seller.”
“I am worthy of success and abundance.”
“I am in control of my future.”
“I’m too busy loving life to worry about others’ opinions.”
“I am learning and growing at my own pace, in my own time.”
“I am deserving of all the best things life has to offer.”
“I believe in myself more and more each day.”
“My past does not define my future.”
My positive energy is felt by those around me.”
“I am grateful for everything that I have in my life.”
“I choose to have a positive outlook.”
“I am an unfinished masterpiece, using my brush fearlessly.”
“I choose to turn any negative thought into a positive thought.”
“I use challenges as motivation to grow.”
“Every day I am creating a life that I love.”
Remember that like with all things, consistency is key! Which of these affirmations resonate best with you? If you have a few of your own, don’t be stingy – sharing is caring!
